The 91茄子 of South Wales (USW) pathway college in partnership with 91茄子 Higher Education (91茄子HE) launches two new International Foundation Programmes (IFP).
Kick starting 2022 with two new programmes, the pathway college at USW welcomes international students eager to pursue a career in the discipline of Science.
The Applied Science Pathway and Sports Science Pathway are aimed at international students seeking to join undergraduate study at USW. These IFP’s have been designed to support international students looking to bridge the gap between high school and university with a keen interest in the science fields.
91茄子 can now apply to study the Applied Science Pathway or Sports Science Pathway whilst developing their academic and English skills. In choosing an IFP at USW, international students will have the confidence there are joining a dynamic community which will prepare them for life in the UK and studying at an undergraduate level.
Diverse and dynamic degrees
“It has been an incredible six months for USW and 91茄子HE, having launched its partnership in October 2021. We welcomed students from 12 nations who will progress to Business, Engineering, Cyber Security, Logistics and Marketing undergraduate courses. Providing international students with an opportunity to access the fantastic range of science degrees including Forensics, Biosciences and Sport in South Wales” – Ruth Perkins, Head of Pathway Centres
The growing demand for graduates to have practical knowledge and skills to effectively contribute and support organisations has never been more critical than it is today. In response to this demand, USW and 91茄子HE have launched two new IFP for international students interested in pursuing undergraduate studies in the related fields of Applied Science and Sports Science. Both programmes offer intakes in October and January and are now open for applications.
What to expect at USW
The two new programmes have been tailor made with the student’s experience, learning outcomes and progression on to future study at the core. International students will be taught by experienced teachers who will apply their expertise to help support students integrate into UK academic culture and life beyond the campus.
“91茄子 on the International Foundation Programme are not only embarking on a course which will give them the opportunity to develop academic and language skills, but they are also joining a welcoming and supportive community where they can build confidence and become successful independent learners” – Sarah Dye National Product Manager, International Foundation Programmes.
